Reply to Manjit Singh GK : Gurdwara Will No Longer Be Used For Political Gain

By 4th January 2018 0 Comments

The stage of a Gurdwara is not a platform for politicians to launch talks from. A Gurdwara is no place for politics and gurdwaras should not allow non-Sikhi talks. You talk about Mareyada, please allow us to educate on this Mareyada you refer to. A stern reply for Manjit Singh GK President, Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) President, Shiromani Akali Dal, Delhi State and National Spokesperson.
Firstly, why do you as politicians control the SGPC and all the Gurdwara’s which fall under the supervision of this committee? You say no politician should use the Guru Ghar for politcial means and yet you do exactly that. The stage of a Gurdwara is to be reserved for the Khalsa to address the sangat. The meaning of Khalsa is to be Khalistani. You have helped to to control who speaks at Gurdwaras under the SGPC and have interfered in several Panthic issues. The ban placed by Canadian Gurdwaras will be lifted as soon as you allow other Sikh spokesman onto the stage in Gurdwara’s across India. Mr GK, you are fully aware of how pure your father was as a Khalistani. Mr GK, you claim the Canadian gurdwara’s endorsing this ban are banning people from entering. We ask you to re-read the statement by the Gurdwara committes where they are only prohibiting those officials who choose to come in and talk about Pro India and give talks based on false information. Everybody else is welcome and those officials are welcome in a non official capacity. Also, Mr GK you were unable to comment on the illegal detention of NRI, Jagtar Singh Johal and therefore should not interfere with Canadian Gurdwara rulings who are run by Sikhs/Khalse and proud to call themselves Khalistani’s. As long as the decisions are taken in accordance with sangat approval then not even you can reverse this decision. You should instead focus on being the proud son of a proud Khalistani and stop being the puppet of the Hindutva.

NOTICE ON BEHALF OF GURDWARA SAHIB MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
Effective Immediately (December 9th 2017)
Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh,
Pursuant to the TRESPASS TO PROPERTY ACT (1990) the management of this Gurdwara Sahib reserves the right to bar entry to officials of the Indian Government including but not limited to Indian elected officials, Indian Consular officials, and members of organizations who seek to undermine the Sikh nation and Sikh institutions.
Keeping in mind the interference of Indian Consular and Indian Government officials in the lives of Canadian Sikhs, Gurdwara Management Committees have jointly taken the decision to bar the entry of these officials and members from Gurdwaras across Canada. The presence of these officials makes members of the Sikh community uncomfortable due to their agenda of undermining the autonomy of Sikh institutions and organizations. It is our obligation to ensure the safety of the Sangat, and accordingly we have arrived at this decision.
Recent examples of interference include:
● The right for the Punjabi community to have their own pavilion at Carabram
● Distorting the history of the 10th Guru of the Sikhs and promoting RSS and Hindutva
ideology
● Attempts to undermine the recognition of the Sikh Genocide in the Ontario Legislature ● Attempts to influence local democratic races and processes
This interference alongside the kidnapping and torture of Jagtar Singh Johal has resulted in the Sikh community unifying to denounce the actions of agents and organizations that operate on behalf of the Government of India. Until these officials stop meddling in Sikh affairs, the Gurdwara Management Committee shall not allow entry into the Gurdwara Sahib of Indian Consular officials, officials of the Indian Government and/or members of organizations who undermine Sikh institutions. By booking a program at this Gurdwara it is understood that your invitees will not include such officials.
The safety and security of all peoples attending the Gurdwara Sahib is of primary importance to the Gurdwara Management Committee and cannot be compromised. We take this responsibility seriously and additional measures will be taken if this interference continues.
Thank you in advance for your cooperation in this matter, Gurdwara Management Committee
