Former Akali minister Sucha Singh Langah booked for rape

Former Shiromani Akali Dal minister Sucha Singh Langah has been booked on the charge of raping a woman.
Gurdaspur senior superintendent of police, Harcharan Singh Bhullar, said he received a written complaint from a woman on Thursday alleging Langah had raped her several times, and had also sold off her properties fraudulently.
The SSP said he marked an inquiry into the complaint to Gurdaspur city deputy superintendent of police AD Singh, who found Langah guilty.

The SSP said a case under Sections 376, 384, 420 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code has been registered against Langah at the city police station, Gurdaspur.
The complainant had provided the police a pen-drive containing video clip relating to her rape by Langah.
Langah was not available for comment.
