AAP Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia and AAAP leader Gopal Rai today met Arvind Kejriwal ahead of the Sisodia’s meeting with the AAP Punjab MLAs.

The MLA’s are upset with the party following Arvind Kejriwal’s apology to former Punjab Chief Minister Bikram Majithia.

Fourteen of the 20 AAP MLAs who declined to meet Arvind Kejriwal have now decided to meet the Delhi Chief Minister at Manish Sisodia’s house in New Delhi. On Saturday, a majority of the party MLAs in Punjab, including the Leader of Opposition Sukhpal Singh Khaira, refused to attend the party meet called by Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia at his residence on Sunday.

Sisodia in a text message sent to all 20 AAP MLAs had asked them to come for a meeting on Sunday at 5pm which will also be attended by AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal.

Arvind Kejriwal has in fact drawn flak from his own party leaders on the issue of apology which he tendered to Bikram Singh Majithia on Thursday. While Arvind Kejriwal in his apology said the allegations against Bikram Majithia were ‘unfounded’, his party MLAs said they will continue to raise the issue of drug and still believe Bikram Majithia was ‘involved’ in the trade.

Besides the ED, the Special Task Force has also found evidences against Majithia.

Upset with Kejriwal’s apology, party leader Bhagwant Mann had resigned as AAP Punjab president.
